Energy & Bodywork

Qi Gong (Chi Gong) is a system of breathing and physical exercise that is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Used in a clinical setting to enhance the effectiveness of the acupuncture treatment. Many patients experience a profoundly deep feeling of relaxation and pain relief with Qi Gong during their visit to the clinic. As an exercise it helps to strengthen the body. Qi Gong is a great routine for building strength after surgery. Classes are available through our clinic.

Internal Chinese Martial Arts is a system of physical exercises dating back to the 1300s that is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The underlying principles of Taiji Quan and the underlying principles of acupuncture are the same. Numerous studies done on Taiji Quan have shown the efficacy of this slow graceful art. It is the perfect exercise for anyone of any age. Classes are available through our clinic.

Teachers, Richard & Iva trained in Traditional Chinese Martial arts (Tai Chi Chuan, Pa Kua Chang, Hsing Yi Chuan, and Qi Gong and the related weapons forms) under Master Lu Hung Bin. They were accepted into the Lu family to carry on and promote the tradition of Lu Style Martial Arts. They jointly founded the Acupuncture and Aesthetics Center and the Tai Chi Center in Dallas in 1986 – now renamed the Integrated Center For Oriental Medicine in Plano, Texas.
