Neuro Emotional Technique

Neuro Emotional Technique (N.E.T.) was developed by Dr. Scott Walker and co-created with Dr. Deb Walker in the 1980s. Drawing from chiropractic principles, physiology, acupuncture meridians, and the study of mind-body dynamics, N.E.T. was designed to help release unresolved stress patterns that can influence both physical health and emotional well-being. Since the first seminar in 1988, over 8,000 practitioners around the world have been trained in this method.

N.E.T. works with what Dr. Walker calls Neuro Emotional Complexes (NECs)—stress patterns that form when an emotional experience isn’t fully processed by the body. These patterns can be triggered by real or perceived events, producing physiological responses long after the original situation has passed. Just as our heart can race during a dream that isn’t “real,” our body can respond to emotional memories in very real, physical ways.

Through gentle manual muscle testing, practitioners can assess how the body responds to certain emotional cues and help it complete the natural process of releasing stress that was previously held. This process supports the body’s innate ability to restore balance and well-being.
